The Wege Award is an annual competition that promotes innovative solutions for the future by inspiring university students from around the world to collaborate across institutional, disciplinary and cultural boundaries to redesign the way economies function. Participants compete for more than $ 30,000 (USD) in cash prizes, while helping show the world what the future of problem solving looks like.
University students from all over the world will compete in transdisciplinary teams of five people, representing different academic disciplines and different academic institutions.
Both undergraduate and graduate students are eligible to compete.
How can we create a circular economy?
Each team must take advantage of its transdisciplinary structure to design and collaboratively propose a product, service, commercial / non-profit organization or other solution to a complex problem that can help us move from a linear economic model to a circular economic model.
The winning teams will divide the following prizes uniformly among its five members:
First place: $ 15,000 (USD)
Second place: $ 10,000 (USD)
Third place: $ 5,000 (USD)
